Single Family House- Morbio Superiore, Tessin

This house in Morbio Superiore, Ticino, was inspired by the stunning view of the valley that it offers. Built on a steep hillside the design was elaborated to enable flat terraces that blend with the landscape including a side garden which is accessible from the ground floor.
The house has a simple and elegant appearance, with terracotta brick walls and lacquered steel elements. The roof is covered with black metal tiles, with integrated water pipes that are connected to the heating system of the house.
We consider this house  to be a fine example of how a small project can achieve original and refined architectural solutions.
