Villa Tessin – 3

This villa is located in Riva San Vitale, a historic town in Ticino, Switzerland, that overlooks Lake Lugano and the Romanesque church of Santa Croce. The owner wanted a contemporary house that blends with the landscape. The villa has a simple geometry, with a central axis that connects the vertical circulation. The living spaces are arranged on both sides of the axis, with the upper floor enjoying the best views of the lake and the mountains. The villa also has an external staircase that links the garden to the house and creates a distinct architectural feature. This feature continues inside and integrates an internal staircase that leads to the levels of the house.
