Tourist Office Mendrisio Ticino

The project consists of the construction of a tourist office in Mendrisio, a city characterized by its location near the border between Switzerland and Italy. The goal was to create a welcoming and modern place for visitors who want to discover the region. The chosen site benefits from good visibility and easy accessibility from the highway.
The architecture of the building is contemporary and sober, marked by a symmetry inspired by the classic Italian villas. The choice of materials is based on criteria of simplicity and durability: raw concrete, textured concrete bricks and lacquered steel. Special attention was paid to the management of natural lighting with glazing designed to introduce zenithal light into the building.
The interior of the building is functional and comfortable with spaces, organized around the reception area. The furniture and decoration are part of the architectural concept and were designed specifically for this project.
